Internationalization is here

August 26, 2026v1.1.0

Motoko Base now ships with built-in i18n — five languages, localized marketing URLs, docs, and dashboard chrome.

Motoko Base now speaks five languages.

This release adds a complete internationalization foundation built on next-intl — so you can reach European and Brazilian markets without wiring locale routing, message catalogs, and SEO yourself.

What's included:

  • Five locales: English (default), Spanish, German, French, and Brazilian Portuguese
  • Localized marketing & legal pages with SEO-friendly locale-prefixed URLs
  • Language switcher in the marketing navbar
  • User locale preferences in Settings → App → Appearance (/dashboard/settings/app/appearance) — saved to the database and synced via cookie
  • Translated dashboard shell, auth flows, and settings
  • Localized documentation and changelog
  • hreflang alternates and sitemap entries for every supported locale

The i18n layer is designed as starter infrastructure: typed message catalogs in messages/{locale}/, shared formatting helpers, and a clear extension pattern for your own features.

If you already purchased Motoko Base, pull the latest update — this ships as part of your lifetime updates.
